We are creating Passport for Life to help young people record and reflect on their experiences, and to use this record of achievement to find out more about opportunities in the future. The opportunities may include voluntary or social action activities, further training or education, apprenticeships, or employment opportunities.

The Careers and Enterprise Company recognises the importance of helping young people to understand the value of the experience they gain through activities outside of the classroom, and to use this information to help them think about their future choices.

Passport for Life will help organisations that provide these opportunities to share information with young people, improving social mobility and diversity by offering a broader range of criteria to help providers to share their message with a wider audience.

The documents below outline in more detail the challenge as we see it, and invite responses. We are looking for technology companies with an interest in the development of young people and their skills, the education sector, or the employment and training agenda to respond with their suggestions of how to tackle the challenges as described in the Information Memorandum and the User Research document.
