On Friday 1 December, delegates from the Education Bureau of the Hong Kong Government joined The Careers & Enterprise Company and the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), on a visit to Norbury Manor Business and Enterprise College, Croydon.

The visitors toured the school which showcased the excellent work taking place to provide crucial careers provision, which will enhance the life chances of its students. The Hong Kong delegates learnt more about the work done at the school, along with the support they recieve from the Enterprise Adviser Network. Through our network, our Enterprise Advisers provide strategic counsel to schools and colleges on engagement with employers and strengthening connections with local businesses.

The school is involved with a range of activities as it has held specialist Business and Enterprise status since 2004 and has an exemplary offer of careers and enterprise learning, both inside and outside of curriculum time.

Our CEO Claudia Harris said, “It has been great to see the excellent work being done by Norbury Manor Business and Enterprise College and inspiring to see first-hand the important partnership between the school and the LEP. Connecting young people with local employers helps to ensure they are better prepared for the world of work and we are pleased to be able to share our experience and insight with our colleagues from Hong Kong.”
