The Careers & Enterprise Company Annual Awards 2018 recognise and celebrate the wonderful work done across the network by schools and colleges, businesses, volunteers and careers activity providers.

Nominations are now being accepted for this year's 9 award categories. A further award for special achievement will be awarded by a panel of judges. Entrants for awards can nominate themselves or be nominated by others for any of the awards, and Enterprise Coordinators and Local Enterprise Partnership Skills Leads are strongly encouraged to submit entries from their network. This year's awards categories are:

  • Outstanding Small or Medium Enterprise of the Year
    Awarded to a small or medium sized enterprise (any business with fewer than 250 employees) that is delivering outstanding support to schools or colleges and enabling meaningful and inspirational encounters for young people.
     
  • Outstanding Large Employer of the Year
    Awarded to a large sized employer that is delivering outstanding support to schools or colleges and enabling meaningful and inspirational encounters for young people.
     
  • Innovative Partnership of the Year
    Awarded to a school or college and a local business or careers provider, that have created an innovative partnership providing outstanding careers support for young people.
     
  • School or College of the Year
    Awarded to a school or college that is providing outstanding careers support for its pupils to prepare them for the world of work.
     
  • Enterprise Adviser of the Year
    Awarded to an Enterprise Adviser who is delivering outstanding careers support.
     
  • Careers Leader of the Year
    Awarded to an individual in a school or college delivering an innovative programme of exceptional careers support.
     
  • SEND Careers Provision of the Year
    Awarded to an individual, school or other organisation, working with young people with special educational needs or disabilities to help provide meaningful encounters and connect them to the world of work.
     
  • Careers Adviser of the Year
    Awarded to a careers adviser delivering exceptional careers guidance.
     
  • Provider of the Year
    Awarded to a careers provider that has outperformed on the fund and continues to deliver and share best practise activity to inspire and prepare young people for the world of work.
     
  • Special Achievement Award - to be awarded by the judges
    Awarded to an individual, school or college or other organisation in recognition of outstanding achievement preparing young people for the world of work.

Announcing the winners

There will be three regional winners and one overall winner for each of the nominated awards.

Winners will be announced at The Careers & Enterprise Company Annual Conference on Wednesday 4 July 2018.
