The Careers & Enterprise Company is delighted to announce the appointment of Mo Isap to its Board of Directors. Mo brings with him a wealth of experience across both industry and education.

Mo is Founding Director and Vice Chair of Star Academies, a multi-academy trust, operating some of the most successful schools in the country. Star Academies operates 24 primary and secondary schools across the country with over 13,000 students. All of Star’s schools that have been inspected to date by Ofsted are rated Outstanding. 

Mo is also the founder and CEO of tech company IN4.0 Plc. IN4.0 work with organisations across business and education to enhance creativity and productivity by adopting Industrial Digital Technologies. One of the Group’s companies has a joint venture with the University of Central Lancashire, developing and recruiting technology graduates and post graduates to deliver high value projects and accelerating industrial technology start-ups.  

Mo is already heavily involved in the work of The Careers & Enterprise Company through his role as volunteer Enterprise Adviser (EA) in Lancashire, supporting Tauheedul Islam Girls’ High School (TIGHS) and Tauheedul Islam Boys’ High School (TIBHS), both are amongst the highest achieving schools in the country.

More about Mo Isap

Mo’s exceptional commitment to bringing schools and employers closer together was recognised in 2017 when he was awarded Enterprise Advisor of the Year as part of The Careers & Enterprise Company’s annual awards.

As an EA, Mo has worked with Tauheedul Islam Girls’ High School (TIGHS) to break down gender stereotyping and encourage the students and their parents to look more widely at career options. A recent achievement saw Mo supporting the school to develop a mini MBA programme where sixth form students attended a series of lectures at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN) followed by a project placement related to their subject area of greatest interest. 

Prior to his role at IN4.0 Plc, Mo has successfully started and scaled several businesses, he has also founded several social enterprises and currently runs IN4.0 Education which operates DEVA a digital mentor network and TTA placing technology post grads into schools to help enable technology applications. He holds an MBA, is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, a Chartered Manager and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

With his wide-ranging experience of local enterprise and business, he is a Board Member of the Greater Manchester LEP leading on schools and future skills, and he chairs the Greater Manchester Careers and Employability Board.
