How and why we collect this information?

We collect information through the Future Skills Questionnaire in order to understand how career-related activities help young people to develop skills for the world of work. In some contexts, young people are requested to complete the survey twice so that we can see how their skills have changed as a result of a specific activity. Participation is voluntary.

 

What information do we collect? 

We collect personal identifiers such as your school or college, date of birth, first name and gender.

We do not process sensitive information. However, in the occasion where processing such information is completely necessary, we will ensure that treat and process such data with great care and in accordance with the data protection laws. You will also be notified.

 

How do we use this information?

The Careers & Enterprise Company uses the information from the Future Skills Questionnaire for research purposes to primarily find out what impact career-related activities that are funded by the Company are having on young people. We use the findings to improve the support we provide directly and through our partners and build evidence on the effectiveness of interventions.

 

How long will we keep your information?

We only keep your information for as long as we need it to analyse your survey results. When the analysis is complete, we will delete it securely.

 

Will your information be shared?

We will only be sharing your information with:

Pearl Scan Solutions Ltd: They will be processing any paper surveys that are completed.

They store all their data in the UK and their database is safe and secure. They also comply with data laws, so your information won’t get lost or given to anyone who shouldn’t have it. You can read their privacy policy here.

  • Ask to see all the information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to change any information you think is wrong or incomplete.
