Our Grant Funding Agreement

We are funded by Government to be the national body for careers education in in England. We aim for high quality, modern careers education for everyone, everywhere so that all young people can find their best next steps.

We do this by:

  1. Supporting schools and colleges to deliver excellence – through information and support, training, our communities of best practice, working with colleges and school to achieve the Gatsby Benchmarks, and our network of Careers Hubs.
  2. Supporting employers to engage with purpose – through more than 4,000 senior business volunteers working with colleges and schools, our ‘Cornerstone Employers’ who work in their local area to transform careers education and with resources and information to support more businesses to give meaningful opportunities to young people.
  3. Including all young people in careers education – through our Youth Advisory Group, specialist networks to support young people with SEND, at Alternative Provisions and in Independent Training Providers, and with our resource directory for professionals.

Our annual Grant Funding Agreement with the Department for Education allows us to deliver this. Thanks to this investment, we are now seeing schools and colleges across the country improve careers support for young people.
