Careers Hubs improve careers education for young people by working directly with schools, colleges, apprenticeships providers and employers.
They operate across the country, and through dedicated teams, support 96% of schools and colleges and thousands of employers.
Careers Hubs have been shown to drive up standards of careers education against the best practice Gatsby Benchmarks.
For young people this means:
- More work experience
- More curriculum time linked to the world of work
- More awareness of apprenticeships and technical pathways
- More 1-to-1 guidance
- Better chances of finding a secure destination.
For employers this means:
- They access schools and colleges in a co-ordinated and organised way
- They meet their future workforce face-to-face
- They shape the content of careers education
- They target their programmes at young people who need more support.
